Meta-AnalyseBestätigt: vermehrt CED nach Antibiotika-Exposition im Kindesalter

Der Verdacht auf ein erhöhtes CED-Risiko nach Antibiotika-Exposition im Kindesalter, der auf eine Beeinflussung des Mikrobioms zurückgeführt wird, hat sich jetzt in einer Metaanalyse der Daten von 10 Studien, 8 mit positivem Ergebnis (n=2.783), bestätigt. In der gepoolten Analyse ergab sich nach Antibiotika-Exposition (zumeist im Alter < 1-2 Jahren) ein signifikant erhöhtes CED-Risko bis zum Alter < 18 Jahre (Risk Ratio [RR] 1,42; 95% CI: 1,23-1,66), besonders deutlich für MC (RR 1,59; 95% CI: 1,39-1,81), aber auch für CU (RR 1,23; 95% CI 1,08-1,40). Mit der Zahl der Antibiotikazyklen stieg das Risiko.
